California, in depth, rather than the whole country thinly. A coverage claim you cannot check is worth nothing, so here are the numbers.

Outside California
Federal programs work the same way everywhere, but the offices, the income limits and the application routes do not. Rather than serve a family in another state a page of federal generalities dressed up as a local answer, the check says plainly that we have not researched their state and points them at the authority that has.
Other states get added when families ask for them and the sources have been read.
Depth is uneven, and we say where
Statewide and federal rules are the strongest part of the catalog. County variation is thinner, and city-level programs are thinner still. Where a county has no verified rule for a program, the result says we do not know for that county rather than applying the statewide rule and hoping.
