The honest version
Why it is free
Because the alternative business models in this field are all worse, and most of them are why families do not trust anything they read about benefits.
What we do not do
- We do not sell leads. Your answers are not a product. Nobody buys the fact that a household in a given ZIP code has a parent with mobility needs.
- We do not take commissions from programs. Every program in the catalog is a government or public benefit. There is nothing to be paid for sending you to one, which is exactly why the list can be honest.
- We do not gate the result. The plan appears whether or not you give an email address. A result held hostage behind a form is a lead capture wearing a plan's clothing.
- We do not quote a price anywhere on this site. The build fails if one appears.
So what is in it for us
One thing, stated plainly. Some households, after they have their plan, find that the actual problem is not knowing what exists but keeping it all straight: appointments, medications, transport, paperwork, and four family members who each hold a different piece of it.
That is a different problem, and Digilu builds a product for it called Family Observatory. We mention it once, at the end, when the plan suggests it fits. It is not a condition of anything here, and the plan is complete without it.
Free government programs, nonprofits and community resources belong in a plan even when we earn nothing from them, and they belong ahead of anything we own when they are the better answer. A plan that lists only what we sell is a broken product, not a clever one.
